MEET SAVANNAH, BPR’S SOCIAL & DIGITAL MANAGER

BPR is growing again! We have welcomed Savannah King as the new Social and Digital Manager on our social media team.

Savannah began her career working with internationally-known footwear staple Crocs before moving to the luxury side of the fashion spectrum to work with fine jewelry retailer Shane Company. Most recently, she worked at the Amélie advertising agency where she built the agency’s first social media program while promoting Colorado safety and health campaigns. Here, she was a part of the team that garnered one of Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year Awards. Over the course of her career she has had the opportunity to participate in everything from hyper-local to international campaigns, as well as work with top influencers such as Tyler Oakley, GloZell Green and Michael Buckley.

A Denver native, Savannah attended CSU for her bachelor’s degrees, then DU for her master’s degree in strategic communications. She currently lives in the Berkeley neighborhood with her husband and their two terribly behaved Yorkies. While Savannah is an awful cook, she makes up for it by being fantastic baker and frequently undertakes baking classes and creating cake masterpieces for fun. She is also a Level 1 Fine Spirits Sommelier, certified by the International Wine and Spirits guild, and regularly seeks out the best tequila she can find. Travel and history are also huge passions of hers, and you can usually find her counting down the days to her next whirlwind European adventure. Learn more about her in the Q&A below!

About what aspect of joining BPR are you most excited?

Aside from getting to work with travel, food and wine clients (because who doesn’t love those things?), I think it’s amazing to join a women-owned company that has an all women team!

Favorite restaurant or happy hour spot?

Brazen at 38thand Tennyson and Postino in LoHi. If you haven’t been to either, run now, don’t walk. Honorable mention goes to Sarto’s at 25thand Federal for special occasion meals.

Any secret talents we should know about?

My parents are actually professional clowns, so I have some mad balloon twisting skillz.

What is at the top of your bucket list?

I love learning (and paying for student loans, apparently). One day I want to take the next step and get a PhD.

What is your favorite place to which you have traveled?

Salzburg, Austria. My husband and I took a day trip over from Munich and it was magical, so we’ll definitely be going back to experience Austria more.

What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?

I’m very much a planner, so it was a big deal when I left one whole day of my honeymoon open so we could purposely get lost in London without a plan … or map. I don’t think we found our way back to the hotel room until about 10 pm.

Aside from the necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

My fur babies, Charles and Winifred. I feel like part of me is missing when I travel and leave them behind. I may or may not Facetime them.

If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Fettuccini alfredo. But with broccoli, because that makes it healthy.
