Jordan Blakesley

Principal

Jordan has nearly 15 years of experience in public relations – the majority within the industries about which she is most passionate – hospitality and tourism. She has a successful track record of building positive client awareness that translates into sales for the regionally, nationally and internationally-recognized brands she’s worked with across North America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

After graduating with a B.A. in Communication and Public Relations from the University of Wyoming, and working in the University’s media relations department, she moved to Colorado, where she honed her skills managing consumer, hospitality and real estate accounts at two national PR agencies before co-founding B.

Over the course of her career, she has led local, national, regional and social media campaigns for a variety of clients, ranging from luxury guest ranches and boutique hotels, to internationally-known and celebrity chef-driven restaurants, to yacht clubs and resort communities supported by Olympic athletes, and for acclaimed brands like The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance Hotels, Frontier Airlines and Capella.

She’s particularly passionate about media strategy and brand launches, crisis preparation and management, and social media integration. A bulldog publicist, she has placed clients in Robb Report, CNN Money, Every Day with Rachael Ray, The Today Show, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Worth, Elle Décor, Travel + Leisure, Live! With Kelly & Michael, InStyle, Vogue, Town & Country and many more.

Jordan was named the Public Relations Society of Colorado’s 2016 PR Person of the Year. A foodie and wine lover to the core, she is a Certified Level II Sommelier by the International Wine Guild, on the board of Les Dames d’Escoffier Colorado, a rooftop urban gardener and an enthusiastic home chef. She’s also on the board of The Kareem Jackson Foundation, on the advisory board of MaxFund No-Kill Animal Shelter & Adoption Center, and a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization.

Merideth Hartung

With more than a decade of experience in digital media and strategy development across a diverse portfolio of hospitality brands, Merideth’s passion for marketing has led to numerous successful social media campaigns, influencer collaborations, rebranding initiatives, property and restaurant openings, hotel acquisitions and more. A New England native, Merideth holds a B.S. in Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Merideth joined B Public Relations in 2015 to launch the agency’s social media division and has since grown the team to six full-time employees. Today, she oversees day-to-day initiatives, content development, community management, brand positioning across a variety of channels, influencer campaigns and paid social media strategy execution.

Prior to joining BPR, Merideth specialized in social media research at UMass Dartmouth’s Center for Marketing Research, analyzing how Fortune and Inc. 500 companies utilized digital channels to support their marketing goals. From there, she acted as marketing manager for Massachusetts-based Lafrance Hospitality, where she developed and managed all facets of strategic marketing campaigns for hotels, restaurants, event venues and catering departments. Most recently, Merideth managed social media and e-commerce for Stonebridge Companies, a leading hospitality management and development company based in Denver. She has extensive experience marketing a variety of limited and full-service brands under the Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice and Starwood umbrellas, and has also executed marketing campaigns for multiple independent hotels and restaurants.  

Despite her family owning a boutique distillery in Maysville, KY, Merideth is a wine lover at heart and a Certified Level I Sommelier by the International Wine Guild. Having grown up moving every three years (#NavyBrat), she fulfills her need to be on the road with long weekends in the mountains or quick trips to various cities, and hopes to pass her love of travel on to her daughters, with her oldest reaching 28 flights before her second birthday.

Living by the phrase, “traveling leaves you speechless and then turns you into a storyteller,” April has spent her career helping her clients tell their stories. With 10 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, April has strong understanding of her clients’ business needs and how to develop results-driven PR strategies which support them.

A graduate of the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University with focus on Public Relations, April began her career at Destination Cleveland. After working for nearly five years in-house, April pursued a lifelong goal of moving to Denver. Here, she has worked for national agencies where she’s led international, national and regional media, as well as integrated marketing accounts.

Over the course of her career, April has utilized her skills in media relations, influencer relations, strategic planning and account management for a variety of destinations and hotel clients. She has a breath of expertise working with clients including international hotel chains in Mexico and the Caribbean, state DMOs, urban cities and charming mountain towns. April employs targeted PR strategies and media outreach tactics to deliver results, having secured national placements in The New York Times, The L.A. Times, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, SHAPE, Men’s Journal, and many more.

A Midwesterner at heart, April enjoys exploring each of Colorado’s four beautiful seasons either in the mountains or soaking up the sun on a brewery patio. When she’s not busy exploring new destinations, April loves to keep active so you’ll probably find her in a Crossfit gym, snowshoeing or hiking with her sweet labradoodle, Barley.

Catie Mayer

Senior Account Executive

Catie believes that “pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” She is not only passionate about travel and hospitality, but also fostering meaningful relationships with her clients and media. She brings a strong public relations and editorial background, and her results- and detail-oriented nature has led to strong media relationships, and repeated client exposure.

Catie is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, with a B.S. in Journalism and an emphasis on Public Relations. Prior to joining the BPR team, Catie worked for Blake Communications, assisting with public relations efforts for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. She also worked as Communications Coordinator for BOCO Fit, a Lagree Fitness studio in Boulder. Her work included media and client relations, event planning and social media management.

She has secured placements in numerous national, regional and local media outlets, including Food & Wine, Redbook, Men’s Journal, Travel + Leisure, Shape, Tasting Table, Wine Enthusiast, the Dallas Morning News5280 and many more.

Catie is a Certified Level I Sommelier by the International Wine Guild, and shortly after joining the industry, Catie was the recipient of the Public Relations Society of America Colorado Chapter’s “Rookie of the Year” award. A Colorado native, Catie’s enthusiasm for exploring Denver and its surrounding areas is unfaltering, and she is an avid traveler. She considers herself a breakfast food enthusiast, and she loves airports, coin-style margaritas and scoring last-minute concert tickets.

A graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, with a B.S. in Journalism and an emphasis in Public Relations and Political Science, Chelsea has a deep passion for travel, food and beverage and the outdoor industry.

Chelsea prides herself on the meaningful connections she makes with media on behalf of her clients, and the proven results of her effective messaging strategies. She specializes in traditional media relations, and has seven years of experience in the tourism, hospitality and F&B industries, having worked with clients such as New Belgium Brewing and the town of Pagosa Springs, Colo., before joining BPR in the fall of 2015.

Chelsea has secured placements in numerous local, regional and national media outlets on behalf of her clients, including USA Today 10Best.com, AFAR, SELF, Readers Digest, “Daily Blast Live” and more.

Chelsea’s passions outside work include hiking, fly fishing, camping and drinking and studying craft beer. She is a Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone® Certification Program.

Sam DuBois

Sam DuBois

Manager, Influencer Relations & Digital Media

Sam believes that a good story has the power to connect people across the world. Over the course of her career, she has worked with nonprofits and mission-driven companies to strengthen how they tell their stories in various mediums.

After graduating from Boston University with a degree in International Relations, Sam’s passion for travel and storytelling led her into the international development field.  As communications coordinator for World Education, she led the organization’s first website redesign and managed email and social media outreach.

Eager to experience development work firsthand, Sam moved to Nicaragua in 2015 to manage digital communications for the volunteer-driven organization Global Brigades. During the course of her year-long contract, Sam visited projects across Nicaragua, Honduras and Panama, and implemented Global Brigades’ first social media strategy, highlighting the bond between volunteers and community members. Sam has additional experience managing corporate social media and communications strategy in higher education and healthcare tech.

She runs a weekly travel newsletter with a friend, and enjoys using her passion for travel to support B’s clients. Sam recently earned her 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification. Outside of work, she enjoys teaching and practicing yoga while also kicking butt as a Krav Maga yellow belt.

Nicolle Montgomery

A graduate of Arizona State University, with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Tourism Management, Nicolle has more than 15 years of experience utilizing partnership development, marketing and event planning to successfully build brands and foster relationships between businesses and consumers.

Throughout her career, Nicolle has led the development of events and strategic marketing campaigns for organizations in the hospitality, arts and design industries.  Prior to joining B Public Relations, she was the Director of Marketing for Renegade Brewing Company, where she specialized in branding, marketing strategy, social media and developing a unique slate of events that drove awareness with consumers. She also spent a decade producing events and forming partnerships for the Colorado Restaurant Association and the American Institute of Architects Colorado, where she led the creation of the Colorado Restaurant Show, the expansion of the Denver Food + Wine Festival and led the local marketing and event activations for the AIA 2013 National Convention hosted in Denver.

An avid traveler and foodie who dreams of winning the Powerball so she can visit all 50 of the World’s Best Restaurants in the same year, Nicolle is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier Colorado and participates as a volunteer annually in the No Kid Hungry Chefs Up Front gala and the Flatirons Food Film Festival. When not seeking out the next foodie adventure on her bucket list, Nicolle can be found in a movie or live theater, playing board games, watching Bravo, crushing it in pop culture trivia, snuggling with her two dogs and planning both creative date nights and the next place she will see the world with her husband.

Savannah King

Manager, Social & Digital Media

Strategy, storytelling and audience experience: These are the components that Savannah believes will build an optimal social media program. For the last five years she has devoted her career solely to the social media space and brings a passion for all things social with her to B Public Relations.

Savannah began her career working with internationally-known footwear staple Crocs before moving to the luxury side of the fashion spectrum to work with fine jewelry retailer Shane Company. Most recently, she worked at the Amélie advertising agency where she built the agency’s first social media program while promoting Colorado safety and health campaigns. Here, she was a part of the team that garnered one of Ad Age’s Gold Small Agency of the Year Awards. Over the course of her career she has had the opportunity to participate in everything from hyper-local to international campaigns, as well as work with top influencers such as Tyler Oakley, GloZell Green and Michael Buckley.

A Denver native, Savannah attended CSU for her bachelor’s degrees, then DU for her master’s degree in strategic communications. She currently lives in the Berkeley neighborhood with her husband and their two Yorkies. While Savannah is a terrible cook, she makes up for it by being fantastic baker and frequently undertakes baking classes and creating cake masterpieces for fun. She is also a Level 1 Fine Spirits Sommelier, certified by the International Wine and Spirits guild, and regularly seeks out the best tequila she can find. Travel and history are huge passions of hers, and you can usually find her counting down the days to her next whirlwind European adventure.

Sarah Hoffner

A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications and an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising, Sarah prides herself on conscientious communication and building meaningful relationships. She has a background in several client-facing roles in public relations and marketing.

Prior to joining the BPR team, Sarah spent two years in the San Francisco Bay Area, working for KQED – the Bay Area’s largest public media station – assisting with multi-platform marketing initiatives and public relations efforts for the station’s foodie programs including Emmy-nominated Jacques Pépin Heart & Soul. She’s also been an assistant account executive at boutique public relations agency, Allyson Conklin Public Relations, focusing on beauty, home and lifestyle brands.

She has secured placement in local, regional and national publications including The Denver Post, Westword, Eater Denver, Zagat Denver, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle and more.

When she’s not in the office, you can find Sarah seeking out a chocolate chip cookie, a dog to pet, a sunny patio to enjoy a beer and probably daydreaming about pizza.

Morgan Kennedy

Manager, Social Media & Influencers

Hailing from New Mexico but with a Colorado birth certificate, Morgan claims the slightest Colorado native status from her family’s roots in the Rocky Mountains. However, in the great green chile war of 2019, Morgan will die on New Mexico’s hill.

A graduate of the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Marketing, Morgan started her career with the Rocky Mountain Regional Whole Foods team, managing marketing initiatives for all Whole Foods stores in the New Mexico region. In this position, she found her stride executing influencer partnerships and creating content for the New Mexico-specific WFM social channels. Morgan joined the BPR team as the first leg of the Influencer and Partnerships team in late 2017, working in-office through the end of 2018. Morgan then transitioned into a contract position with the team until re-joining BPR in September 2019. In the interim, she lived in South Carolina and New Mexico, starting her own small business while growing her freelance marketing repertoire.

Here at B, Morgan brings her love and understanding of influencer and social media marketing to clients, helping execute campaigns that link the ideal partners to the goals of her clients. With the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing, Morgan helps clients stay on-trend and up-to-date in all areas of social media and influencers. In 2018, Morgan secured nearly 1,800 pieces of influencer coverage for clients, a goal she is looking to surpass over the next year.

Outside of work, Morgan spends her time snuggling her adorable rescue pup, Mia, catching the latest Marvel movie in theaters and filling her evenings running or catching the nearest fitness class. She has a deep love of travel (and all the delicious foods discovered along the way) and has a goal to travel to at least one foreign country each year. She’s two-for-two in 2018 and 2019, looking to keep the tradition alive in 2020; she’s looking at you, Switzerland.

Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Julia attended the University of Denver, where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Sustainability. A lifelong interest and passion for food led her to a career in restaurant and hospitality PR, where she strives to create meaningful relationships with both her clients and media.

Before joining the BPR team, Julia was an account executive at bread & Butter PR, where she worked with local Denver restaurants including Brass Tacks, Jovanina’s Broken Italian, Sushi-Rama, Old Major and more. She also assisted with several travel accounts including the Relais & Châteaux, Triple Creek Ranch in Montana. Prior to bread & Butter, Julia interned at both Baltz & Co. and Slow Food USA.

She has secured placements in local, regional and national outlets including 5280, Denver Business Journal, The Denver Post, Forbes, Dallas Morning News, Sunset, New York Daily News, PureWow and more.

When she’s not planning her next meal, Julia can be found at the farmers market, searching for the best gin cocktail or watching the latest food documentary on Netflix.

An East Coast native turned Denver transplant, Carson graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Business. With a passion for public relations and marketing, Carson thrives on enhancing company strategy and problem solving through creative and efficient means. She believes the key to successful campaigns is through developing strong relationships with her clients.

Prior to joining B Public Relations, Carson was an associate at Denver-based Novitas Communications, where she specialized in crisis communications and media strategy. She has also spent time as an assistant associate at Warschawski, a Baltimore-based marketing and branding agency.

Carson has secured media placements in numerous local, regional and national media outlets on behalf of clients, including Bloomberg, Forbes, The Denver Post, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, SHAPE, Sunset Magazine and more.

Outside of the office, you can find Carson discovering new restaurants and breweries, exploring the mountains, and traveling to visit family and friends all over the country.

Lindsay Puckett

Originally from Boulder, Lindsay attended the University of Kansas, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and a focus in Marketing and Strategic communications. After assuming many titles in the world of fashion, she has chosen to revisit her school roots and pursue a career in public relations.

Prior to BPR, Lindsay was the community lead and shop supervisor at Outdoor Voices in Los Angeles. She was responsible for creating engagement and increasing brand awareness in the West Hollywood community through a variety of local events, wellness workshops and influencer relations. Before transitioning to the marketing side of the fashion industry, Lindsay was an account executive for J Brand Jeans, covering the west coast women’s market.

Well-versed in creating strong community relations, partnerships, content curation and events, Lindsay was eager to join and contribute to the BPR team. She was drawn to an agency specializing in food and beverage, luxury travel and destinations, as those are a few of her favorite things!

The Boulder native loves to travel, knowing she has Colorado to return to. When she isn’t planning her next vacation, Lindsay is either reveling in patio season, looking for live music or showing a visitor the beauty of the city she’s lucky enough to call home.

Leigh Baldwin

Coordinator, Social & Digital Media

Living by the motto “never stop exploring,” Leigh ventured from New Mexico to attain her B.A. in Interpersonal Communications at Pepperdine University. When she wasn’t studying on the beach in Malibu and by glacial lakes in Switzerland, she was busy creating strategic communications plans for campus departments and leading relationship-building workshops for students.

Leigh’s early career took her to Crested Butte to work in social media and email marketing with Adaptive Sports Center and program development at Oh Be Joyful Church. She then moved to Tacoma, Washington to hone her strategic marketing, social media, photography and event planning skills with nonprofit and tourism clients at JayRay Ads & PR.

She recently returned to Colorado to join the B Public Relations team, bringing her passion for exploration and relationships to fuel her approach to telling clients’ stories. She believes that each travel and culinary experience is steeped in adventure and works to portray clients’ unique offerings through thoughtful photography and social media strategies.

Leigh spends her time outside of the office concocting delectable meals, sweating on her yoga mat or in the gym, documenting her musings on vital living on her blog and planning her next trip with her husband.
