The season of travel has arrived! And with long wait times at airports and rising gas prices, more travelers are loading up their electric vehicles and embarking on the great America road trip. Here are some of our favorite places to relax and recharge:

Santa Fe, NM: Situated on a historic stretch of Route 66, which celebrates its centennial this year, Santa Fe is a road tripper’s paradise with dozens of cultural sites, hiking trails, museums, city plazas and more to explore. La Fonda on the Plaza places guests in the heart of it all, with boutique accommodations reflective of the city’s surrounding culture and the added bonus of complimentary EV charging for hotel guests.

Denver, CO: The Mile High City is where ample sunshine, a thriving culinary scene, diverse neighborhoods and natural beauty combine. Wander the trendy RiNo neighborhood for art and culture; browse local and designer boutiques in Cherry Creek North; and explore 16th Street or catch a show at the Denver Center of Performing Arts Downtown. Hotels with EV charging include:

Grand Junction, CO: An outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, Grand Junction is home to the second-largest concentration of natural arches in the country and more than 1 million acres of public lands providing access to rivers, canyons, mesas and mountains to explore. Hotel Maverick, the area’s first boutique hotel, offers an on-site EV charging station for guests, making it the perfect spot for EV road trippers exploring the area to rest and recharge.

Boulder, CO: Boulder is known for its blend of urban and outdoor activities including beautiful hikes, a vibrant downtown and talented brewers and chefs. St Julien Hotel & Spa lies between 300 miles of hiking and biking trails and boutique-hopping along the pedestrian-only Pearl Street. Public EV charging can be found at neighboring self-parking garage.

St. Louis, MO: A major, historic stop on Route 66, St. Louis welcomes road trippers to a vibrant culture, a buzzing sports scene and abundance of free attractions. The midwestern city is home to more than 300 electric vehicle chargers, and the downtown landmark Magnolia Hotel St. Louis, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel is within minutes to charging stations in any direction.

Utah: National Parks define America, and in honor of its 250th anniversary, Utah’s iconic “Mighty 5” is attracting visitors for the quintessential American road trip. From Moab to Zion, five world-renowned National Parks seamlessly weave through the beauty of the state’s dramatic natural landscapes. Destination hotels for Mighty 5 road trippers include:

Bodega Bay, CA: Nestled along the countryside roads of Northern California’s Highway 1, The Lodge at Bodega Bay is a tranquil locale offering six electric vehicle stations. The hotel welcomes travelers with sweeping ocean views and invites guests to savor local wines by in-room fireplaces or on private balconies, linger at outdoor fire pits at sunset, discover hiking and biking trails, and take a stroll to Doran Beach. The Lodge’s wellness program includes Pilates, meditations, sound baths and spa treatments. At Drakes Sonoma Coast and Fireside Lounge, guests enjoy regionally and sustainably sourced coastal California fare.
