At BPR, we spend a lot of time assisting our clients in garnering much-deserved accolades. In fact, in the past two weeks alone, Mission Yogurt was named the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Minority-Owned Business of the Year, Root Down DIA was named ACI-NA’s Best New Food & Beverage Concept (Full Service), Renaissance Denver Downtown and Gravitas Development Group were finalists in the ULI Colorado Impact awards, and Rod Tafoya of Mission Yogurt was named a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (whew!).

Admittedly, however, we’re not always great about seeking recognition for our own work and achievements. This year, however, we took the plunge and prepared the agency’s first-ever submissions for the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) national Bronze Anvil and local Gold Pick awards.

Well, it paid off! The team at B is super excited to announce that we are a recipient of a national 2015 Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation, and the only Colorado firm to receive this award this year.

The Bronze Anvil Awards have celebrated exemplary public relations tactics throughout the nation for more than 40 years. BPR represents one of 71 agencies (out of 828 entries) to be honored with a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation, receiving the accolade for an October 2014 press conference for Flightline Ventures and Stanley Marketplace. The event was titled “The (Literal) Launch of Stanley Marketplace,” which, appropriately, featured a groundbreaking ceremony complete with a man on a jetpack.

The good news does not stop there, however; BPR was also in contention for several local honors through the PRSA Colorado 2015 Gold Pick Awards, which were announced Thursday, May 7, at a statewide ceremony. Team B was proud to take home three Gold Pick Awards, for “The (Literal) Launch of Stanley Marketplace” press conference, a 2014 New York City Media Tour for St. Julien Hotel & Spa and our work with Denver International Airport on A PAWparazzi-Worthy Press Conference, featuring Paradise 4 Paws Denver. The PRSA Colorado Gold Pick Awards program is designed to recognize the achievements of individuals and organizations that demonstrate best practices and high ethical standards in public relations.
