TEAM B GETS FRISKY IN FRISCO

The ladies of BPR visited Frisco, Colorado a few weeks ago for two days of meetings and discoveries. As one of the newest additions to the BPR client roster, the Town of Frisco did not disappoint; the people were lovely, the shops each had their own charm, and the scenery, well, that speaks for itself.

We had a productive, insightful and fun trip, and even learned a bit of trivia: Founded in the late 1800s, Frisco’s name was derived from a combination of letters associated with the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company, which ran through the town.

After a meeting the first morning and a delicious lunch at Boatyard American Grill, the team spent some time learning about the Frisco Bay Marina, which is hosting several fantastic events this season, including Frisco’s Rock the Dock Party on June 6 and Timberline Cruiser Regatta on June 27. Additionally, this certified-clean marina offers boat rentals, stand up paddleboard rentals, sailing lessons, boat tours and more from June through September.

Next, we toured the Frisco Adventure Park, which offers a variety of year-round family activities. During the summer, the park offers biking, skating, disc golf, ball fields, wagon rides and a day lodge for gatherings. Additionally, the peninsula boasts miles of trails for hiking and biking. Throughout the winter months, the tubing hill and beginner ski hill are popular Frisco Adventure Park amenities, known around town as a great place for kids to be kids and adults to be kids again. We can’t wait to ride the hill this winter!

While visiting some of the shops on Main Street, we wandered into GatherHouse Glass Blowing Studio and were thrilled to receive an impromptu lesson from gallery owner John Hudnut.

After we each tried our hand at making a glass unicorn, some of which turned out to look more like other species (think pig and dolphin), we stopped by Prost for happy hour. Their dog-friendly atmosphere and delicious beer selection was just what we needed as the afternoon began to wind down and we recapped the day’s meetings. In the name of research, we walked up the street to Vinny’s Euro American Organic Cuisine for dinner. The food was incredible and the staff was attentive and friendly, which seemed to be a common theme throughout town.

At the end of the day, Team B retired to Baymont Inn & Suites, which is conveniently located off of I-70, and near a variety of dining options, including a Pho restaurant on the main floor, the popular Rio Grande restaurant and a new Whole Foods.

On Wednesday morning, we enjoyed a great breakfast at Log Cabin Cafe, then ventured across the street for a meeting and tour of the Frisco Historic Park & Museum. Admission to this charming museum is free and offers visitors a glimpse into the town’s past, with original structures and artifacts on display. Fun and informative for guests of all ages, this is a must see while you’re in town.

Next, we took a short, seven-minute drive up to Copper Mountain, where we learned about the partnership between the resort and the town of Frisco. The mountain is accessible from Frisco via Summit Stage, a free year-round public bus service available to guests.

Following a meeting in the afternoon, we wrapped up our discovery session and hit the road back to Denver, where we put all of our new knowledge to work. We are truly looking forward to learning more about this lovely town and working with everyone we met as the year progresses!
